Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of the DashProof store and any purchase you make from it. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read the two sections on recording laws and insurance — they matter more for this product than the usual boilerplate.

1. Who we are

DashProof is a store operated by V&L Enterprise LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, trading online at getdashproof.com.

In these terms, "DashProof", "we", "us", and "our" mean V&L Enterprise LLC. "You" means you, the customer. You can reach us at support@getdashproof.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to order from us. We ship within the United States only.

3. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send you a dispatch confirmation, not when you click pay. Until then we may decline or cancel an order — for example if the item is out of stock, if we can't verify your details, if the order looks fraudulent, or if there's a pricing error.

4. Prices and errors

Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice, though a change never affects an order we've already dispatched. If an item is listed at an obviously wrong price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than honour the mistake. We'll tell you if that happens.

5. Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through our payment processor. You confirm you're authorised to use the payment method you enter. Failed or reversed payments may result in cancellation.

6. Shipping, returns, and warranty

Our Shipping Policy and Refund and Return Policy form part of these terms. In short: roughly 4-day delivery from a US warehouse, 30 days to return, and a 1-year warranty against defects.

7. Your responsibility for lawful recording

Dash cams are legal to own and use throughout the United States, but two things vary by state and are your responsibility, not ours:

  • Windshield mounting. Some states restrict what may be attached to the windshield and where. Mount the camera so it does not obstruct your view.
  • Audio recording. Some states require the consent of all parties to record a conversation. If you carry passengers, check your state's law or disable audio recording.

You are also responsible for how you use footage you record, including any privacy obligations you may have to passengers or other people captured on video. We can't advise you on your state's law, and nothing on this site is legal advice.

8. No guarantee of insurance or legal outcomes

We describe this product as helping you document what happened and support a claim. That's a description of what a recording can do, not a promise about results. We do not guarantee that any insurer, adjuster, court, or police department will accept, use, or be persuaded by footage from this camera, or that using it will affect the outcome of a claim, a dispute, or a premium. Those decisions belong to third parties and depend on your policy, your jurisdiction, and the facts of your incident.

We also can't guarantee the camera will capture any specific event. Recording depends on power, a working memory card, correct installation, lighting, angle, and weather. Plate legibility in particular depends on distance, speed, and light.

9. Product information

We aim to describe products accurately, but specifications, images, and packaging may change as manufacturers revise them. Colours vary between screens. If something arrives materially different from what was described, that's a return we'll cover.

10. Acceptable use of this site

Don't attempt to breach or probe the store's security, scrape it at a volume that degrades it, submit false orders, or use it for anything unlawful. We may refuse service to anyone who does.

11. Intellectual property

The text, layout, and images on this site are ours or licensed to us, and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising from your order is limited to the amount you actually paid for the product. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including vehicle damage, personal injury, legal costs, lost insurance claims, increased premiums, or lost footage — arising from the use of, or inability to use, the product.

Some states do not allow certain limitations of liability or exclusions of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here is intended to limit any right you have under applicable consumer protection law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the product or your breach of these terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Indiana, and you and we both consent to that jurisdiction.

15. Changes

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published when you place your order. We'll update the date above when we change anything.

16. Contact
